It’s a fact. Boerne’s Hill Country Mile is exceptional! (Toot toot goes our horn) Great shopping, delicious food, quality art, heritage, historic architecture, community events and more. With all those wonderful things wrapped up in one package, we couldn’t imagine what could make The Mile even better. Get ready friends, it happened! We’re so very excited to announce that there is not just one new tour being offered along the Hill Country Mile, but there are TWO amazing (and very different) tours that have started up in the last few months. Allow us to introduce Hill Country Food Tours & Boerne Walking Tours! Hop on one or both tours for a chance to see Boerne’s downtown gem from the folks that know it best…locals!
Experience the rich flavor of Boerne! Their knowledgeable and fun guide will take you through 10 culinary stops along the Hill Country Mile and on River Road for a truly unique foodie experience. Out of town guests and locals have given rave reviews of their experiences from this tour on Facebook. (ALL 5 Stars!) It’s a fabulous way to learn about the history of the participating Boerne restaurants, the buildings they are in and the food and beverages that are offered. Make sure you arrive with an empty stomach and be prepared for a variety of sweet and savory dishes and drinks. This tour is an awesome way to entertain a group of friends and family, as well as, get a preview of your dining choices while you plan your future Boerne dining experiences. Tours are on Saturdays from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm and tickets can be purchased online.
Everyone is welcome to join this family friendly downtown tour. Your 90-min. tour through time starts at Main Plaza (at the Wild Bill Hickok statue to be specific) and makes a 1.5-mile loop of the Hill Country Mile. The owners of the tour company are 5th generation Boerneites, whose ancestors were among the first German-heritage families to settle in the Texas Hill Country. They, and their guides, LOVE Boerne and feel that it’s an honor to share their community with visitors and locals who want to know more about the people, history, heritage, culture, architecture, ghost stories and legends that Boerne is built upon. At this time, tours are at 9:00 am and 7:00 pm, Wednesday through Saturday, and 10:00 am on Sunday. Purchase tickets online prior to arriving.
