Presentation of Proposed FY 08 CVB Advertising Plan and Possible Co-Op Opportunites
The Chamber of Commerce’s Convention and Visitors Bureau‘s advertising budget is $50,000 this year and next years request will be about $70,000. The Proposed FY 08 CVB Advertising Plan was shown to the members and David Cooksey explained each itemized advertising cost. Heads in Beds was the top concern for advertising, along with promoting Art and the History of Boerne. There are multiple opportunities for businesses, events and organizations to participate in co-operative advertising.
Updates on the Kendall County Fair
Bo Savage, the President of the Kendall County Fairgrounds Association, gave a brief background of the history of KCFA and the need for a way to generate more income for the up keep. They want advice and guidance to partake in part of the hotel-motel tax. They are planning on building a new arena which will give them the advantage of bigger and better events.
Announcements/New Business
Cibolo Arts Council’s new location will be at the Phillips Building and will allow them to have a physical presence in the heart of the River South District. They Arts and Music Festival is approaching on October 19-21.
Wings Over Boerne last performance on Saturday, June 30 at 11:00 am, 1 & 3 pm
The CVB will host the San Antonio CVB this Saturday at Enchanted Springs Ranch.
The Cactus Pear Music Festival schedule is out and their website is www.cpmf.us
The Chuck Wagon Dinner Show at Enchanted Springs is Thursdays-Saturday through Aug 4.
